Paraben Free Products For Your Skin
Why look for paraben free products for your skin? Cancers, allergies and rashes are good reasons to seek out high quality natural skin creams that nourish your skin without needing to use harmful, controversial ingredients.

What is paraben?
They are preservatives that are often used in personal care and cosmetic products. Oddly enough, they occur naturally in plants such as blueberries. But the ones used in skincare products are generally synthetically produced.
You’ll often see them on the labels as with the words methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl. They are cheap and allow products to be stored for a long time. For many years, they have been thought to be non-toxic.
But a number of studies in recent years have linked the use of these synthetic preservatives to cancers – particularly breast cancer. In one study, an analysis of breast cancer tumors found parabens in the tumor samples. It is feared that they may be able to be absorbed through the skin and migrate into breast tissue.
Studies also show that parabens are able to mimic estrogen. Some forms of breast cancer are estrogen-induced and there are concerns that the repeated use, over many years, of products containing these preservatives could stimulate the formation of cancers.
Some people are sensitive to synthetic preservatives and may find that allergies and skin rashes develop with prolonged use of creams and lotions that contain them.
What can you do to find paraben free products for your skin?
Fortunately, it’s getting easier and easier to find products that contain natural alternatives to these synthetic preservatives.
For example, a product could use the organic preservative Euxyl PE9010 instead. This looks like a chemical-sounding name but in fact it’s gentle enough to use on the most delicate skin and is non-irritant and non-allergenic.
